Smart Breathing

Breathing, one clever trick all Smart girls should know

When done properly;

  • It can improve our mood in moments, making us calm controlled and confident.
  • It can make us smarter, more focused and even more beautiful.
  • It can improve our physical health and emotional well-being.
  • Best of all, it's free, easy and can make these difference in just a few minutes a day.

It is obviously something we all do without thinking about...

Up to 18 times per minute, 1,080 times an hour, that's 25,920 a day!

So it comes as a surprise that most of us are so bad at it.

Shallow breaths, like shallow people are not smart.

It is the equivalent of taking tiny little sips of air, when ideally we want a good healthy flow of it.

But this is what many of us do. We tend to inhale from the upper chest barely accessing the lower lungs in the abdomen.

To add to this we often hold our inhalation,  in moments of tension and anxiety, cutting off valuable oxygen when we need it the most.

Shallow breathing  can lead to;

  • Fatigue
  • Headaches
  • Fuzzy thinking and brain fog
  • An weakened immune system
  • An impaired lymphatic system

Perhaps one reasons we have all learned to be so bad at it is because we do it without thinking.

Obviously this is a good thing, the human race would have died out long ago if, every day we had to write;

To Do List

  1. Buy Milk
  2. World domination
  3. Inhale in and exhale out x 2,920

A Breathtakingly Smart Idea

Take time each day to do it properly, or at least have it in your bag of tricks ready to use when the need arise... because when we do there are  so many benefits.

Some benefits of inhaling properly include:

  • Our muscles work better
  • Wrinkles are reduced since an improved circulation and blood oxygen flow helps to maintain our skin in good condition
  • Improved ability to concentrate on the task in hand and increased powers of mental concentration.
  • It lowers our stress levels and increases our sense of well being.
  • Improved immune system.

Why not spend a moment breathing right now?

Listen and follow along with this relaxing audio, an introduction to the art.

It encourages rhythmical inhalation which draw air deep into the lungs and lets it all out slowly.

This simple action can leave us feeling energised, calm and ready to get back out there.

Useful any time, as a daily exercise or utilised in moments of stress, indecision and hectic craziness, it can be just what you need to rebalance and calm yourself.

Taking the time to do this properly really is a good idea for our happiness, our productivity, our health, our beautiful bodies and for our overall Smartness.

And knowing a few respiration exercises is an even better idea.

Caution for those suffering from asthma, anxiety attacks or smoker's cough may experience trouble inhaling deeply, some may even experience dizziness.

You still can benefit from these techniques, just please take it gradually, always inhale in and out at a level most comfortable for you.
