Maybe the girl from I.T. got signed off work for a month due to stress,

lucky her you think....but it's not Smart to under estimate or make light of it.

If we are not careful she can do real damage in our lives.

So why is she so bad? There are many different ways she can can get us, for example;

  • She wears us down, makes us irritable shattered and drained.
  • She makes us angry, uptight or dreading the future.
  • She can make us ill....really actually physically ill. This can be serious.
  • She can affect our appetite; over eating else loss of appetite.
  • She can ruin our looks: causing lack of sleep, dull hair, brittle nails, and bad skin.
  • She can hold us back in work so we can’t concentrate or make decisions.
  • She can meddle in our relationship, make us lash out at those we love and make us a Pain to be around.
  • She can sap our Mojo, ruin our sense of humour, steal our sex drive, and leave us with no energy for having fun and enjoying life.

Well in reality I am being unfair...actually she’s not all bad.

In fact she's necessary in our lives,  she creates the pressure that gets us out of bed in the morning.

She's one of the main ingredients in our ‘get- up- and- go’.

She’s what motivates us to step up to the challenge, over-deliver, go one better.

When we work with her she can be just what we need to get the most out of life.

The trouble starts when pressure levels rise to where us Smart girls feel unable to cope,

That’s when she stops being our friend and turns into a real bitch.

Everyone feels stressed at times, it’s natural and normal reaction to unforeseen and unpreventable events, often in times of great difficulty;

Loved ones die, relationships break down, divorce happens, sickness and injury or redundancy all create change and uncertainty in life.

These kind of events, which we have little control over, can cause short-term stress that feels immense and unbearable.

We can’t deny or ignore this fact,

but with the right attitude and support we can all navigate these difficult times and come out the over-side in one piece.


and this is a big but,

the majority of us spend far too much of our time getting uptight and feeling hassled by relatively stupid stuff.

Everyday gripes can drive us nuts and pointless grievances get the blood boiling.

If we’re trying to be virtuous one 'bad' day can leave us reaching for the cigarettes, biscuit or the third glass of wine.

All these little annoyances can build up over time and become chronic, 

which can turn out to be very damaging long term.

The silly thing is we don’t need to be phased by these things, it’s a waste of time and energy.

These thoughts persuade us they are true, they make themselves at home in your head and create negative emotional states

And there is nothing that bitch loves more than a negative emotional state because we’re far more likely to welcome her in to lives and ask her to stay.
